Inmate Work Crew

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Work Crew is a program where inmates get to pull their weight as citizens of Taylor County. Instead of allowing them to lay around the jail and be supported by tax dollars, this program allows inmates to work in our community 8 hours a day Monday through Friday. The Work Crew provides inmates services to the County while providing a healthy but safe working condition for our community. The Work Crew also gives an opportunity to establish a good work habit for the inmates on this crew. The Taylor County Sheriff’s Work Crew helps clean County roll-off sites, picks up trash on roads and serves many community and governmental agencies. This is just a few of the services provided by the Sheriff’s Work Crew to our community.
