Transportation

The Transportation Section transports inmates outside the facility and/or from one jurisdiction to another in a safe and humane manner. This is accomplished by trained and experienced deputies to prevent against escapes and to ensure the safety and well-being of the inmates, staff and the public.

Transportation Section responsibilities are as follows: County, Circuit, Civil and Traffic Courts, shipments between facilities, warrants, writ pickups and returns, commitments to state hospitals, state prisons, and arrestees for the Taylor County Sheriff's Office during special task details.
